"Cinq voyelles pour quatre flūtes"

« Cinq voyelles pour quatre flutes » (five vowels for four flutes) is the transcription for four flutes (and possibly a narrator) of "Voyelles" for solo flute. It was written in 2005, and premiered in February 2006 by Arcadie Flute Quartet in Paris.

Each vowel suggests a particular colour, a part of life remaining a variant to it. Arthur Rimbaud's poem is read by the flautists as it is written in the score, or by a narrator.

Video : Japanese premiere, that was performed by Chiharu Tachibana, Toyomitsu Yamauchi, Junko Yamamoto and Masae Yamane, on October 8, 2012, in Tokyo.
